The mode of your survey is defined during the creation of the questionnaire, in the "Survey dates" step.

• The Manual modegives you the flexibility to launch, follow-up and close your survey. There is no predefined date.

At the bottom of your survey, you will find a "Start Now" button to launch it immediately. A pop-up window will then appear to warn you of what is involved and you will only have to confirm the start. The solicitation emails will go out instantly and your survey will be set to "Survey" status.

When your survey is open, you will find a "Restart Participants" and "End Now" button to restart or close your survey.

• The classic mode is the most used mode because it allows you to program all the dates: start date, reminder date and end date. On the opening day, the solicitation mails will be sent automatically. The follow-up emails will be sent on the scheduled day(s), only to people who have not yet responded. Your survey will automatically close on the scheduled day.

Note: Even if you have scheduled your survey, you will have the option to manually restart participants or close the survey early, if for example, you have reached 100% participation before the closing date. However, you will not be able to extend the original end date.
