Accessing and using Pulse results

Once your survey is completed, you will receive an email the next day telling you that the results are available. You will also find a notification on your app.

The results of a survey are available to those with access rights.

By clicking on the link, you are automatically redirected to the Pulse module with your personal access.

On this module, several tabs allow you to read the results in different ways:

  • Diagnosis
  • Surveys
  • Details
  • Compare
  • Comments
  • Reports

Diagnosis

On this first tab, you will find a general overview of your teams.

You will find :

  • the average score on the Engagement question, with its evolution and the breakdown between promoter, passive and detractor votes (the Likert scale was applied to define the different voting typologies),
  • the possibility of pinning a driver that you consider important to follow at the moment, so that you can follow it at a glance,
  • the participation rate in the last survey and the number of participants to which this corresponds,
  • the strengths and weaknesses of the teams have been identified and the same indicators are used (average, evolution and impact on the commitment score)
  • and finally a graph that allows to identify the priority drivers.

This graph allows to prioritize the actions: the light points correspond to each driver and are located in areas corresponding to their impact on the score of the commitment (strong, moderate and weak).

The drivers with a strong impact are therefore drivers that will tend to be directly linked to engagement. They can be considered as predictors of engagement, as their decrease will generally be associated with a decrease in engagement, and vice versa for an increase. These are therefore subjects to be worked on as a priority, as this is where actions would have the most impact.

By applying filters, you can observe which levers are common or specific to each team so that you can make the right HR decisions and implement an effective action plan on the right populations.

NB: To calculate this impact score, the Pearson coefficient was applied.

Since it is a mathematical calculation, it is not biased. Only the votes and the way of voting are taken into account, there is no one at Bleexo who designates that a driver is more impactful than another, all calculations are automatic.

The driver impact (on engagement) indicates the correlation between the scores provided to a driver and the one provided to the engagement. For this calculation, the last known driver score and the last known engagement score are compared.

Be careful though: A driver with a low impact on engagement is still worth considering, as engagement is not the only final measure to improve. This driver may have a strong impact on mood or motivation for example. Moreover, its immediate impact is weak but could have a strong impact on the life of the company in the longer term.

Surveys

This tab allows you to view your survey history. By clicking on the navigation arrows, you can access your past surveys.

For each survey, you will find the same information:

  • the participation rate, its evolution over time and the number of respondents to which it corresponds,
  • a word cloud of popular topics that came up in the comments left on the survey,
  • the list of questions asked as well as their averages, their evolution and their impacts.

When a survey is in progress, you will find here the participation rate which evolves from day to day.

As a reminder, scores and comments will only be available once the survey is closed, only the participation rate can be tracked.

You can always apply filters to view results by segment.

Details

This is the very data page of the module, which is based on the drivers. You can find the last measurement for each one, in detail. You can easily navigate on the left side, and compare them by using the filter "Sort by" (scores, evolution, impact and date of measurement). This is a deepening of the diagnostic page. The analysis is quantitative.

In the menu on the left, you will find all the themes present on Bleexo in capital letters and in bold. For each of these themes, you will find below all the drivers that are part of it.

By clicking on the theme, you will find the following information:

  • the average for the theme,
  • the possibility to make internal benchmarks (vs. the average of my company or vs. the average of my reference department) and an external benchmark (vs. the average of all Bleexo users)
  • a graph with the evolution of the different drivers over the last 12 months.

To go into more detail in the drivers, I click on the driver that interests me to access the dashboard more detailed to find :

  • the question to which it refers,
  • the last measurement, i.e., the last time the question was asked,
  • a graph showing the number of people who responded, the number of people who did not participate, and, if applicable, the number of people who passed the question,
  • the average of the driver with its evolution and its impact. By passing my mouse over the line under the average, I find the distribution of the votes,
  • the possibility of doing an internal benchmark only,
  • a graph with the distribution of the votes,
  • a word cloud of popular topics left on this driver during the last measurement,
  • key segments: those that carry you (that have a high average or very positive progression) and those that need your attention (that have a low average or significant deterioration)
  • a graph that represents the evolution of the driver: the line represents the evolution of the average and the lighter colored area represents the evolution of the difference in votes. The larger the area, the more disparate the votes are and we understand that your teams are in disagreement on this subject, the thinner the area, the closer the votes are and therefore there is a consensus.

Compare

This tab allows you to compare at a glance the segments of the same category to immediately identify the important topics on which there is a consensus, but also those that divide your teams.

The comparison chart is used to compare the latest driver scores for each segment. The heat map display allows you to see at a glance which segments are doing well and which segments need attention.

To generate a table, I select the type of segment I want to compare in the Comparative Table section.

I then click on Compare. The table appears as a heat map.

I can display the results by Score or by Difference thanks to the "Display" menu at the top left.

The score display allows to quickly draw attention to strengths and weaknesses (in terms of drivers and in terms of segments).

The difference display allows for better highlighting of teams that are over- or under-performing compared to the overall. This helps identify which teams are carrying the group and which teams need help.

On the second part of the tab, you have the possibility to compare the evolution of a driver by type of segment.

To do this, you will choose the driver you want to compare, as well as the type of segment. You generate a graph by clicking on Compare.

This tool allows you to compare segments over time.

Thanks to this display, you can study the impact of actions on the different segments. Indeed, the evolution curves allow you to better study how the segments evolve in relation to each other, positively/negatively, slightly/significantly.

Comments

On this tab, you have access to all the comments left during the surveys.

You can search for comments in several ways:

  • by keyword: by directly typing the word you are looking for, all comments containing this word will appear.
  • by driver : you can choose the driver(s) you want to sort on to get the comments on this question.
  • by period: by default, the last survey is selected. Otherwise, you can also choose a specific survey or a period that can cover several surveys.

A word cloud of popular topics left on the comments also appears on the right: the bigger a word is, the more it is repeated in the comments, and the colors correspond to the associated average score.

Once you have selected your search options, you have access to the list of comments, all anonymized, they are only linked to the respondent's score. You have the option of displaying the comments by population Promoters (9 or 10), Passives (7 or 8) or Detractors (0 to 6) and/or to classify them by Score.

When you hover my mouse over a comment, a Reply button appears: this allows you to reply blindly in a comment, i.e. you don't know who you are replying to (anonymity is guaranteed) but the person who receives your reply knows who replied. Your initials appear next to your answer.

This allows you to discuss anonymously with the person in order to obtain more information or to communicate with them about different possible solutions. It is also a good idea to thank a person for their feedback in the case of positive feedback. This will show that the manager/management is reading the feedback and taking it all into account. This can be encouraging and can build positive momentum for future surveys.
